Toddler group & ABC

Toddler Group and ABC cater for the under-5's providing a safe and friendly environment to play, interact, read and sing with other children. Toddler Group is held on Friday morning in St. John's Church Hall and ABC meets in Riverside Community Centre on a Thursday afternoon. Both groups are open to all those living in the area, whether they attend the church or not.

Activities

A craft table is available each week, where the children often make things to take home. We operate a book borrowing/library scheme. This is a free service which
allows each child to borrow 2 books per week. This scheme is run in association
with the Early Literacy Project. During the course of the session we also have an
optional “Story Time". Table top toys (jigsaws, duplo, trains etc) are available on the small tables. Ride-on toys are also available.

Timings

The Toddler Group session runs from 10-11.30am on Friday mornings. We serve drinks and biscuits to the children at about 10.40am. Drinks for parents are available from the hatch soon after this. We clear up toys at about 11.15am and close the session with some songs and nursery rhymes. Please join in these with your child!

The ABC session runs from 1.30pm - 3pm on Thursday afternoons.
