Students at St John's

At St. John's we have two universities within our parish, Hull University and Lincoln University, and many students are part of our church family. We have a wide range of activities designed specially for students, organised by our Student Team led by Nathan Buttery (click to email him). Of course there are the main Sunday services as well, of which the evening 6:30pm service is most popular with students.

If you've recently arrived in Hull as a student, one of our student team would be very happy to meet up with you and help you settle in. Please fill in our student contact page.

SOCM stands for the School of Christian Ministry. SOCM is not so much a school but a small group of students meeting weekly together to study the Bible and to encourage one another to live wholehearted Christian lives as students. There's plenty of time for asking questions as well as sampling Hull's finest doughnuts and tea. Click here for the SOCM programme. (Tuesdays 5pm-6.30pm, Newland Christian Centre opposite Haworth Arms.)
